8th dan Kodokan Judo, awarded Judo Meijin 10th Dan by Kokusai Budoin IMAF in
1972. Personal student of Kyuzo Mifune. Founding member and first Chief Director
of Kokusai Budoin, International Martial Arts Federation (IMAF). Helped restore
Judo to Japanese national education after WWII.

the Kodokan, but the claim is not corroborated by any primary source reviewed
