Support Martialis

I build and run Martialis in my spare time, and all of it is free: the database, the research behind it, the lineage graph, and the full data export. None of it will ever be put behind a paywall.

Everything is done in the open. The YAML files, the RDF export, the LinkML model, and the validation toolset are all published, and the database is released periodically to Zenodo, with Software Heritage coverage. This does not depend on any funding – see Licensing for how the code, the data, and the vocabulary are licensed.

The most useful way to help is not financial: take part in the discussions, send corrections and suggestions, and improve the database.

That said, if you find Martialis useful and want to support its goals, a donation is welcome, and entirely optional. It buys nothing: no feature, no rank, no extra access. It is a gift to the project, not a purchase. It goes towards ongoing costs, and towards opening up more sources and repositories for research that are not otherwise available.
