Also known as
Ridolfo Capo Ferro da Cagli · Rodulphus Capoferrus
Description
Fencing master from Cagli living in Siena, perhaps master to the German
students of its university, whose rapier treatise Gran Simulacro dell'Arte e
dell'Uso della Scherma (1610) uses Bolognese terms and techniques,
suggesting he was trained in the old Bolognese school.
Sources
“Technically, Capoferro seems to have been trained in the old Bolognese school,
because he periodically used Bolognese terminology and techniques in his book.”
— Green, Thomas A.; Svinth, Joseph R.. (2010).
