    Description

French judoka and teacher, one of the reputed French professors and judoka around whom Ichiro Abe, technical advisor of the Shudokan club in Toulouse (1951-1953), reinforced the rayonnement of Kodokan judo in France. Michel Brousse counts him among the rare champions of the time who practised the Kodokan "art de la souplesse" against the Kawaishi method.

The France Judo obituary of Abe lists Jacques Belaud among the reputed French professors and judoka around whom Abe reinforced the rayonnement of Kodokan judo, and Brousse names him among the rare champions practising the Kodokan method at the time; neither source states the exact nature of the relationship beyond his training at the club.
The evidence favours the claim and nothing credible contradicts it, but it falls short of establishing it.
