    7th Soke (headmaster) of Edo-line Yagyu Shingan-ryū Taijutsu (Araki-do). Taught Yagyu-ryu bojutsu to young Jigoro Kano. Member of Shinsengumi, opened dojo in Tokyo with assistance of Yamaoka Tesshu.
