Description

Japanese aikido teacher (8th dan Aikikai Shihan). An uchi-deshi of Morihei Ueshiba from 1959, he was appointed by the founder in 1965 to introduce aikido to Australia, where he spent 15 years and founded Aiki Kai Australia. He later taught in Belgium, Luxembourg and France, and from 1988 co-instructed with Yoshimitsu Yamada at the New York Aikikai until his death in 2010.
