Description
Japanese aikido teacher (8th dan Aikikai, shihan) and direct student of
Morihei Ueshiba who was one of the principal architects of the development of
aikido in France and Europe. Entering the Aikikai Hombu Dojo as an uchi-deshi in
1953, he departed for France in 1964, succeeding Tadashi Abe as the Aikikai
representative there, and served as National Technical Director of the FFAB
until his death in 2010.

Nobuyoshi Tamura accepted Luís Antunes as a direct student in 1980 on the
recommendation of Hirokazu Kobayashi, and Antunes remained his student until
Tamura's death in 2010, corroborated by the CAO interview, the wix profile

Alaoui received his shodan from Nobuyoshi Tamura in 1964, the first shodan in
Morocco, and is listed among Tamura's former students in the French
Wikipedia article. From the split of 1970 the Syu do kan, which Alaoui
co-founded, followed the Tamura (Aikikai) line.
