Recently graduated from Tokyo Higher Normal School when he was posted to Maebashi Junior High School in Gunma, where he became the first judo teacher of Ichiro Abe. He accompanied Abe to the Tokyo Higher Normal School summer judo workshops. Skilled in uchi-mata and right and left deashi-barai.
