“Many Congress members were arrested or killed, effectively neutralizing Foshan’s communist cell, at least for a while. After a failed uprising in Guangzhou on December 11, Qian Wei Fang, Wu Qin and other important Hung Sing members were forced to flee to Hong Kong and various locations in South East Asia. The Hung Sing Association was officially suppressed by the GMD and closed its doors.”
