Description

South Korean martial artist and founder of the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan system (1945), later known as Soo Bahk Do. He studied Taekkyon as a child and learned Chinese martial arts under Yang Kook-Jin in Manchuria. He was one of the original five founders of Korean martial arts kwans after the Japanese occupation. His system heavily influenced the development of Tang Soo Do and American Tang Soo Do through his student Shin Jae Chul.
