Description

Chinese wushu athlete and Beijing Wushu Team founding member. Born in Beijing. Won 18 individual national gold medals between 1975 and 1987. At the 3rd National Games (1975), won women's specified changquan champion and freestyle changquan champion. At the 5th National Games (1983), won triple crown in jianshu, changsui jian (long-tassel sword), and zhaquan. Performed at the 1983 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the first-ever Chunwan. Became Beijing Wushu Team coach after 1983. Moved to Japan in 1988 at the request of the Japanese government to promote wushu. Served as Vice Chair of the Technical Committee of the Japan Wushu Taijiquan Federation and coach of the Japan national wushu team. Awarded 8th dan by the Chinese State Sports Commission in 2010.
