Survey of 20th-century martial arts by the American judo and Asian martial-arts historian Robert W. Smith. The passage on Jon Bluming (p. 110) notes that after being barred from the 1961 World Judo Championships, Bluming "turned his energies into training future Dutch hopefuls, among them judo champion Willem Ruska and three-time world sambo champion Chris Dolman".
