Description
Jigo Tenshin Ryu (also known as Isei Jitoku Tenshinryu) is one of the martial arts handed down from the Fukuoka Domain. It was founded as a comprehensive martial art system, but the jujutsu component is the one that has been handed down to the present. Many ancient techniques remain, including joint techniques, restraining techniques, and Kappo. In 2005, it was designated as an intangible cultural property of Fukuoka City.
