  Confirmed

JA wiki (Naitō Takaharu): entered Kozawa's Tobukan at 12, kirigami at 14, mokuroku at 18; Tobukan's own 1874-01-01 founding fixes the at-12 entry year at 1874. End 1883: his April 1883 departure for Tokyo.

The evidence establishes the claim: it is sufficient and consistent, and any conflicting evidence is resolved.

  Probable

JA wiki records his 2005 induction into the All Japan Kendo Federation's Kendo Dendō; single source.

The evidence favours the claim and nothing credible contradicts it, but it falls short of establishing it.
